Truly the best first shoe. My baby LOVES her shoes and brings them to me for me to put on her. There is memory foam padding that can be taken out if they have a wide foot. I just used the stride rite website for sizing instructions to figure out if mine needed the insert or not. They are leather and they clean up really easily with soap and warm water.
And seem to keep her feet dry with a decent amount of water exposure. Stitching is high quality and the Velcro is durable and withstands frequent use. I will be buying these in bigger sizes for the future. They look cute with dressy and casual outfits. They do not impede her ability to walk at all. And give her the traction she needs to walk on all surfaces without falling. They’re so easy to put on and take off and seem genuinely comfortable for them to wear.

I struggled to find shoes for my “chubby feet” daughter but this one checked all of the boxes for us. It fits perfectly and it seems really comfortable. Doesn’t squeeze her feet, it is lightweight, she is able to flex her toes. It is very easy to put on and take it off. Yet it gives her great stability – very important in the early stages of walking. I love how cute but simple it is, not too much information but a little charming.
Striderite shoes are the best for new walkers and experienced walkers alike. My youngest was a late walker and these shoes have been great. Hold up well, great quality, good value for your money. Cute design and good ankle support. I purchased a size 4 for my almost 2 year old and there is room to spare.
